highlighting
I have a question and or a request of the tech team.
When I am in my Bible I can use f8 and use my mouse to highlight the text as if I was using a pen or pencil. That is so much easier to highlight text than having to go to the highlight menu and click the type of highlight and then click in the resource to have that highlight stick. That is so tedious for me. The f8 drawing mode is so much easier, It would be great if when I exit the drawing mode the highlighting would be saved. Are you guys working on making that happen?
thanks

This is not currently possible as it is not the purpose of the drawing mode. Faithlife would have to speak for it, but to me it wouldn't make sense to change the behavior when the purpose of the mode is temporary. Of course, a work-around would be to print screen and save it in some type of document.

Thanks, Yes I am aware of that. I guess I am wanting it even easier. I still need to remember the shortcut. LOL

I realize it is drawing mode, but It would be nice to have this be highlighting as well.

There is a way to make this easier, but you'd have to buy a 3rd party device. I use a device called "Stream Deck" by Elgato. One of the many things it does is allow you to create hotkeys. I've only just started using it with Logos, so my setup for it is primitive but this is what it looks like right now, but you can see I have it set up to use a red or yellow highlight, remove a highlight, start a search, and close all windows with the press of a button:
The problem is that the device won't be worth the cost to you if you're *just* going to use Stream Deck with Logos. It costs $150 (they have a mini with just 6 keys for $100). But if you do any sort of content creation (video editing, stream, sound boarding, or programming) then it has a ton of uses outside of Logos and might be worth considering. Just an FYI... there are solutions out there to simplify things like this... but probably won't be reasonable for most users.

Another option (if you are only using a few highlighters) is to purchase a programmable multi button mouse (pretty cheap). Assign one or more of the extra buttons to a hotkey. Thus, select and push the button. I use this all the time.

I just posted a bunch of Logos Bible / Stream Deck buttons in case you're interested.
Blessings!
