Software Updates and new additions to library
How does one go about reviewing software updates and new library additions in LOGOS 7 that were easily displayed in LOGOS 7?

I would like to know the answer to this question as well.
My current workaround to determine new library additions is to sort resources by "Last updated" (under the Library tab).
As for determining software updates on the Mac, I go to Logos > About Logos Bible Software, and copy the version number to Google. I then read the release notes to determine the release date. (e.g. https://wiki.logos.com/Logos_8.0_SR-1)
Not ideal, I know, but this is how I've been doing it in Logos 8.

It is not quite as easy to find. To find out what version you are running, click on the three dots in the upper right corner, then click on "About Logos Bible Software".
For Library additions, go to your library and choose the column "Last Updated" and order them by the most recent.

As has been said the feature we loved in L7 has been removed and many have commented on this asking for it to be returned in some fashion.
Faithlife re-designed the Home Page so it would be essentially the same between the desktop and the apps. On the web and mobile apps, version numbers and software updates differ from the desktop app. In addition, resources are not downloaded at all in the web app and probably rarely in the mobile apps. So it made sense to go for the lowest common denominator and remove the Updated list from the Home Page menu bar. It was only important in 1 out of 3 uses. Unfortunately many of us used it to check when program, dataset, and resource updates had occurred. Some of that data is no longer available to us and some takes a bit more work to get.
Hopefully FL can return this functionality in some form.

Update notifications: There are no longer notifications on the Home Page for application and resource updates. We plan to bring these back in the near future.

Thank you -- the updates and notifications were the first thing I checked when I opened Logos 7.
