Passage Guide

So I'm pretty reliant on the guides, in particular, the passage guide.  In 7 and before, I kept all the categories "contracted" so I could expand them when I wanted.  The passage guide always opened like I closed it.  However, now it doesn't populate from the passages I'm in AND it resets to all categories being expanded?  Is there anyway I can remedy this.  Is there a setting or preference I'm missing?

    Never mind, I found that it works as it used to if I open up a guide from within a passage rather than from the guide menu.  It just involves more dragging and clicking than before.

    Open the Guide, and make a change e.g Add a section and then delete it. This should 'reset' it so that it remembers your settings.
