Significant lag when tagging
Since I upgraded to L8, I have experienced significant lag when trying to tag new books in the info pane within the library. I type a tag and, compared to L7, there is a very slow response.
A minor thing in the big perspective, but when you are trying to get a few thousand more books all tagged, the lag does add up.
Anyone else experiencing the same issues?

Jordan, I've been busy tagging all my new resources from L8 and I have not noticed any lag in tagging compared to L7. Of course if you tag dozens of resources with one tag at the same time there will be a lag but it doesn't feel different to what I remember in L7. Can you explain more specifically what you are experiencing?

Well, even if I am tagging one resource at a time there is lag (1) before what I am typing even appears on the screen, (2) and before the window of options appears below where I am typing (3) and between when I hit 'enter' and the tag actually shows in the box. Granted, the lag in each instance is only a couple seconds, but when added all together it is almost ten seconds for one tag for one resource.
Maybe that isn't a very good explanation, but I just know that for me it is a lot slower than L7.

Thanks for the explanation for that helps me understand more of what you are saying. Yes, you are right that there is a little lag at those spots but to me it doesn't feel much difference.
On the other hand, maybe I'm so focused when I'm tagging that I didn't think about it in L7 and now not in L8 either. But now that you mention it, I bet it is going to start to irritate me. Thanks! [;)]

Lol, sure. I know it's a first-world problem, as I am incredibly blessed to have these resources. But hopefully things will get sped up at some point.

Inexplicably, the lag seems to be absent today! Now it's going to make me sound crazy, as there has been no software update either. But whatever the reason, I'm thankful it's sped up!

I did lots of tagging yesterday and last night and didn't notice any difference and, after reading your post I did some more and it seemed about the same. But glad it at least seems faster. [;)]

I had one of those yesterday. I was in a guide (PG, I think) and the subheads under "Important Passages" wouldn't appear (there were none there, and then a bit later, only 'Commentaries' would appear). In the process of making some screen shots, all the sudden most of the rest of the subheads showed up. This wasn't just a lag, as it lasted 20 minutes or so without the correct subheads.
I still don't know what was going on. (No, I didn't lose internet connection, and yes, I had the correct Rank vs Type selected.)
