In Logos 3, it used to be possible to limit your search to a particular language. I'm aware RegEx isn't fully supported in Logos 4, but what is the syntax to limit your search to a language?
This isn't complete, nor necessarily the syntax
For surface text:
english:"Jesus the son of"
greek:"Ἰωσὴφ υἱὸς"
hebrew:"בְּרֵאשִׁית בָּרָא"
For gloss in Greek/Hebrew bible:
english:jesus BEFORE 1 word english:christ
english:god BEFORE 2 words english:created
Exaggerated (LGNTI):
english:literal:jesus BEFORE 1 word english:literal:christ (which is equivalent to literal:jesus BEFORE 1 word literal:christ)
Note that the lemma syntax embeds the language code for Bible Search

Thanks, Dave. I was aware of the Greek/Hebrew keywords. It looks like this works for other languages too (though I'm sure it didn't earlier today). Either I'm losing it, or 4.0d had a hidden bonus! Here's what I've successfully tried:
I'm sure there's more, but the syntax is clear, at least.
I would try it in Chinese, but it looks like the Chinese Union Bible still isn't available for Logos 4.

It should be. There are two editions listed: Shen and Shangti. Have you tried either of these? I don't know Chinese so I can't try them to see if they work in L4, but there's nothing about the product description page that would lead me to suspect they wouldn't.
I'm sure there's more

Neither edition shows up in my Logos 4 library. It doesn't matter if I search under 'CUV' or 'Chinese Bible', or even just 'Chinese'. It's one of the few reasons why I still use Logos 3.

It is available. If you have it in L3, perhaps you should ring support and see why it isn't showing in L4.
Two (independent) things to try before calling Customer Service:
1) Sync your licenses in Logos 3 (Tools > Account Management > Sync Licenses). Then close and reopen L4 and it should recognize that you have the Chinese Bible and download it for you automatically.
If this doesn't work, then...
2) Try typing scan {full path to your L3 resources folder} in the L4 command bar (without the curly brackets). Your L3 resources should be in:
C:\Program Files\Libronix DLS\Resources
Or (if you're running a 64-bit version of Windows):
C:\Program Files (x86)\Libronix DLS\Resources
After running the scan command, you have to close Logos and reopen it for the scan to start. It should be able to find your Chinese Bible file and copy it over into your L4 resource folder.
If this doesn't work, contact Customer Service and they'll be able to help you. They might need to fix some unlock switch on their end for you.
Thanks Rosie, I'll give that a go.
Well that didn't work, but since I have other issues with Logos 4 right now (indexer restarting every time I open the program), it looks like I am going to have to re-install it from scratch anyway. I'll see what happens next.
I have other issues with Logos 4 right now (indexer restarting every time I open the program)...
Have you ever let the indexer completely finish its job? If your computer is a laptop set to hibernate after a certain amount of time with no user input, it might shut down before the indexer is finished, in which case it will have to restart when you open Logos.

Yes, every time. No icon in the system tray, no 'indexing' notification in the program. I've owned Logos 4 since three days after it was released, so I'm familiar with the indexing routine. My computer takes just under 4 hours to index around 20GB of resources.

My computer is on 24/7, and is never set to hibernate or sleep. I'm used to it indexing fast (Core i7 920 processor, 12GB RAM, Western Digital Caviar Black 1TB hard drive), and I know when it's indexed. I've indexed it completely several times over the last 5 months after a couple of crashes or re-installs, and it has never done this before.
