Search for Geographic Locations in a Book
Does any know if it is possible to do a quick search for every geographical location in a book of the Bible? I'm wondering if it is possible to see every reference that has some sort of geographical tag. My church is putting together a study on the book of John, and we wanted to create a map that includes every city and region mentioned

Use the Concordance tool. Once opened, select preferred bible and wait several minutes for it to generate. (it's faster once it generates once).
(1) Select "Biblical Entity"
(2) Limit to "John"
(3) Select "Place" from the filter list.

An alternative to Karl's great suggestion is a Louw-Nida search

It would be nice to have this ability in the basic Bible Search and have Concordance results sent to Bible search.

I like Graham's solution best in this particular case. There is, however, a roundabout way of getting this into the Bible search panel, in case you're looking to do more rigorous analysis. Importantly, this would apply to similar cases when using the Concordance tool for filtering with Logos Datasets, etc.. The short answer for this case is to paste the following search syntax into the Bible Search panel:
<Place Galilee>,<Place Jerusalem>,<Place Bethany (on the Mt. of Olives)>,<Place Judea>,<Place Sychar>,<Place Golgotha>,<Place Sea of Galilee>,<Place Capernaum>,<Place Jordan>,<Place Nazareth>,<Place Samaria (region)>,<Place Cana>,<Place Israel>,<Place Bethsaida>,<Place Siloam>,<Place Aenon>,<Place Bethany (Beyond the Jordan)>,<Place Bethlehem (of Judah)>,<Place Jacob’s Well>,<Place Kidron>,<Place Mount Gerizim>,<Place Any Place>,<Place Beth-Zatha>,<Place Mount of Olives>,<Place Ophrah (of Benjamin)>,<Place Places Jesus went>,<Place Places John the Baptist went>,<Place Ramah (of Benjamin)>,<Place Salim>,<Place Tiberias>
The easiest way I can think to get there (without manually typing all that, which is error-prone) is as follows:
(1) Run the Concordance tool as I specified above.
(2) Export the final results into Excel:
(3) Excel import should look like this:
(4) Enter: ="<Place "&A2&">" in cell C2 and drag formula down column:
(5) Enter: ="<Place "&A2&">" in cell D3 and DO NOT drag down:
(6) Enter: ="<Place "&A2&">" in cell D4, press ENTER, and DRAG DOWN the column:
(7) Excel results should look like this:
(8) Then do this in Logos:

Another approach is to simply find all the Atlas maps that are related to the book of John:
Since Atlas maps are organized around biblical events, this may not find every place that is mentioned in John's Gospel. But it should come very close (and Karl's approach will find every mention).
