Home Page: Media of the Day and New Layouts

While in the business of fixing Reading plans that throw out the old layout and replace it with something unforeseen, PLEASE do the same with the home page Card for Media of the Day --or whatever you call it.  

Cause the image to open in my existing layout or a new window--anything but to dump my layout and give me some new layout I almost certainly don't want.
