L8: Problem with update notifications

This has been happening since L7 and I never posted about it, because it's not that serious, but it does puzzle me, and it's still happening, so I thought I'd better report it.

Many times when I see the blue circle with a 1 in it on my toolbar, indicating that there's a message about updates, when I go to click on it to drop down the menu so I can click to allow the updates (I have "Automatically Download Updates" set to No), the 1 disappears as soon as my mouse gets over it, even before I get a chance to click.

What's the deal with this?

In those cases, I have to restart Logos to get the blue circle to come back, and then I can click on it and do the updates.

    I'd say this would be difficult to track down unless you can demonstrate to a Faithlife technician who has been given access to your computer.

    During Logos 8 Beta testing, personally changed Program Setting for "Show the Notification Bar" to Yes (due to Blue circle issue)
