One more bug with Macs?

Here is something that I discovered this morning:

When I tried to add on a phonetic symbol to a vowel (in this case, an ê), I instead was greeted with an eeeeeeeeeeeee.

Is that a bug? Or is there a switch somewhere that I need to locate and change?

    Feels like a bug to me. Incidentally the behavior is as expected in the find box.

    Good catch Chris - I think it is a Bug and I don't think there is a switch.

    For the sake of clarity; rather than an auto repeat a long press on an 'e', and a whole lot of other characters, should produce something like the menu above.
