What is the COM API feature and what benefit(s) does it provide? I'm guessing it has something to do with programming. Can someone enlighten me?
Fred,
The COM API lets a computer program access and control selected portions of the Logos4 application.
Just by following my nose, I can:
1) Get a list of all of my resources (ID, Title, Version etc. See my other post re API)
2) Open any named resource (but it opens to the last place I was at, for now)
I'm working on the bits one at a time. All wasted once its documented, but until then ... something to play with.
I expect to be able to automate some things that I hope will be useful. More to follow as we learn, or get some docs.
Thanks Jim. It sounds like something can be useful; but also something that is outside my area of expertise. Maybe I can benefit down the road. For now I'm glad those who can use it right now have it.
Yes - Unless you program, best to see what tools or utilities others might come up with, and then use those if they share the toys.
I'm just working on getting something to work when "events fire" as Logos4 opens or closes panels.Unless you want to know about Me.BeginInvoke() and Delegates, you don't even want to know about events in threads other than the main UI thread ...
