Or is there some criteria that causes it?
I also had to index, but I don't know if it was a full re-index or not. Took just over an hour.
Tom Philpot said that "This build will require a full reindex due to changes detecting non-bible resources which support Morph searches." for Logos Mac A20. (http://community.logos.com/forums/t/17148.aspx)
I bet it also applies to 4.0d. New feature: "Verses, Aligned, and Analysis views are now available for non-Bibles (such as “The Works of Philo: Greek Text with Morphology”) in Morph search results."
That's correct. 4.0d will rebuild the indexes in order to support Morph search better.
Now I wish I hadn't rebuilt my index yesterday. I updated to Beta 4d this morning and it is still indexing. The Mac Beta didn't take anywhere this long to do its re-index.
My first machine hardly indexed at all- my 2nd is still indexing after 4 hours- with 2.5 to go. Both Win7
My notebook indexed for 5 hours. But I got also some prepubs so I thought it was the reason. I am glad it worked at the same time with just one indexing.
The Mac Beta didn't take anywhere this long to do its re-index.
The opposite experience for me. Mac indexing takes quite a while, while the PC indexing finishes in a few hours.
One thing I know for sure, indexing is light years faster than it was in the early days of 4.0.
Yes it is. I also noticed that my total index is 410 MB smaller compared to a full re-index in 4.0c.
