Can I alter the use of reftagger slightly?

I am working on something for my website that Reftagger is almost perfect for. Is it OK to generate the verse from reftagger using my own custom code?

What I want to do is instead of the Bible verse displaying as a hovered box, I want the verse to display in the content of my page.

My guess is the answer would probably be no unless you kept the powered by Faithlife/Logos/Reftagger/Etc.

How exactly would you use it to put content on your page as opposed to just pasting the content in directly?

I have no problem using putting powered by Faithlife/Logos...

The Bible verses are added dynamically when users search for verses so I don't have the option to paste them in manually. I would basically be doing exactly what reftagger does, except I would be putting the verses right on the page, instead of as a hover.
