Reading a Book
I would like to know how to set up logos 8 so I can read one of the books in my library. Nothing complicated. I just want to read a book on my laptop, iPad, or iPhone. You know, like it was a Kindle. Thanks!

First you need to decide which book you want to read. Load Logos press "command and L" or "control and L" to open your library. Depending whether you are using a mac or a pc. Expand the window. Then press the button under the books (library logo) that will open the side panel. Use the panel to locate a book you want to read. Double click the book title and it will open to read.

I'm not sure if you want all this detail but let me provide it in case you do.
There are a number of ways to access a book from your library. Let's say you want to read Dallas Willard's book on Renovation of the Heart. Open your and on the left you can click what you know about the book. For instance you might know the author but not the title so you can filter that way. If you know the title you can just type in in the top and the book will show. On the right is detailed information about the book. If you right click on the book you can choose for it to open in a floating window or left clicking will open it in the main L8 window.
If you just want to read the book like you implied in your post you can click the three dots in the upper left corner and it will show you the screen seen below. There you can click "Show Reading View" or F11 for a short cut and it will present a view that is easy to read.
To open up resources on your devices you need to install the app and simply download the resources you want. The great thing is that Logos synchronizes all your notes and highlights so that you can see them there too.
