(?) Ranked search results

I have always chosen to see search results "By Resource", but I have been playing around with "Ranked" and I am wondering how it determines the top result??

Its interesting to see what comes up......

    The wiki article https://wiki.logos.com/Detailed_Search_Help (changing the sort order) has

    In Basic searches, you can change the sort order between Ranked, By count and By title. Ranked displays those articles which Logos believes are most relevant to the search – that is they contain the highest concentration of search hits. So short articles with lots of hits appear at the top, long articles with few hits at the bottom
