I cannot figure out how to highlight in the Web App?  Is this possible?

    Three ways:

    1. Select some resource text, and then press the h key.
    2. Select some resource text, right-click, and then choose highlight.
    3. With the Notes tool open, select some resource text, click the right half of the "New note" split button, and choose "Highlight selected text."

You can change your highlight style in the Notes tool by selecting the highlight, clicking on the Highlight Style icon, and choosing the desired style.

In the future, we plan to bring the Highlighting tool with keyboard shortcuts for applying various highlight styles.

    Phil,

I am having a hard time trying to highlight in the web app on my iPhone. Is highlighting possible in iOS currently?

Mobile view on app.logos.com currently only supports "Compatibility Mode" which does not include the ability to create or display highlights. We hope to enable our full resource display technology on mobile in the future.

I am on Windows 7.  I was able to highlight yesterday, Jan 04.  But today, I am unable to highlight.  My laptop is Windows 7 and my browser is Firefox 57.  There were some messages from the computer complaining about "Compatibility Mode".

Previous highights made on my laptop are also not showing on either the web app or my Android phone!

    Hi Phil -

I can highlight fine directly on resources, but when the resources are opened up in the "Courses" view, highlight doesn't show up when I right click, just visual copy.

    Is this normal?

    V/r,
    Alex

    Hi Alex,

When you "highlight fine directly on the resources" are you on the Web App?  If so, then what OS and browser are you using. Alan's (Faithlife) response would indicate that highlighting is not yet available on the Web App.

When I use Windows 7 with a recent Firefox, I see no way to either view prior highlighting or create new highlights.

I am using Chrome Browser on Windows 10. I select the text, then right click and it brings up a pop up that says "Highlight".  It does it well when I open the resources directly, but when I am on the "courses" window, it won't let me highlight.

I suspect that's a specific limitation of the Courses tool. It's not a full-fledged resource view, and the tool also has related issues on the desktop.

The workaround, as you noted, is to open the resource directly.

Thanks to FL for including Carta and a Hebrew audio bible in Logos 9!

The Chrome browser worked on Windows 7.  It allows me to highlight when Firefox 57 would not.  The Chrome version also supplied extra controls on the resource line; e.g., search, filters, and inline.

I am still not able to control which highlight to employ.  This is of some concern since I am reading through the Bible this year and intend to highlight all "speech" by God to be orange.

    Thanks!

Phil, this feature would be greatly appreciated, since highlighting in the web app is currently a pain. Any idea when it should be implemented?

    Hi!

I also want to highlight while using the web app and have created my own set of different highlights - is it possible to have them visible in the web app?

Indeed, this would be great. When I right-click in Chrome, there isn't anything that pops up. Is this still a future possibility?
