IVP Dictionaries of the New Testament: Missing subject index and article index in three of the dicit

The eight IVP Dictionaries for the bible (four for the OT and four for the NT) are wonderful resources. I have them both in print and in Logos.
In print all of the resources have both a subject index and an article index. Today I discovered that three of the NT dictionaries in the Logos version are missing those two indexes. Only the "IVP Dicitonary of New Testament Background" have the indexes while the the other three dictionary are missing those indexes.
Does anybody know the reason behind this? Is it just a mistake that Logos left them out?

I've been away most of this week and am just getting caught up on the forums. I see that no one has responded to your post yet so I took some time to look into your question.
I'm not sure of the whys behind the inclusion or exclusion of indexes but here is what I note:
- I have two versions of the Dictionary of Jesus and the Gospels in Logos. The original (1992) does not include those indexes but the second edition (2013) does.
- The Dictionary of Paul and His Letters and the Dictionary of the Later New Testament & Its Developments both do not have them.
So I'll join in asking as well. Does anyone know why?

I don't recall a specific discussion of this. But in the general direction I remember that loooong ago the argument seemed to be that people don't need the indexes printed in paper books since Logos can find stuff much more reliably (and that was before the concordance function!). Later the thinking seemed to change to "we'll reflect the printed book, warts and all, including the index stuff" - but I'm not sure whether this holds true for all types of books in the same way.

I was thinking the same thing but my memory is foggy on this. I'd love to hear an official reply from Faithlife to confirm this.

Way back when (i.e. over 10 years ago) we didn't include the indices of books. I think the attitude was "why include something the software can do better?".
People missed them so we've been including them ever sense.
Over time we've gone back and added the indices to resources that never had them.
I'll put these three volumes on the list.

That would be a slightly different scenario. Since it is a stand-alone volume that we never produced we'd have to post it as a new resource and sell it a new resource.
