Fathers of the Church Series
I own Fathers of the Church Series 127 volumes. This series is no longer for sale as far as I know.
It has been replaced by Fathers of the Church 136 Volumes. This series is for sale. The cost for the upgrade for what seems to be only a few more volumes is astronomical.
Then I notice that while I own Fathers of the Church Series 127 volumes, according to the product page, when I do the expanding of resources, I do not seem to own everything in this series.
I am wondering if anyone can help. I am guessing that I originally purchased something that may have been called The Apostolic Fathers Protestant edition many years ago. Could it be that this was replaced with the Fathers of the Church Series 127 volumes which has since been replaced again with the 136 volume edition?

Highly unlikely ... Fathers of the Church Series is an ongoing publication of Catholic University of America. I have 149 volumes of the series in my library.
The only series I have called The Apostolic Fathers is a 12 volume series from Lightfoot.
The only Protestant / Protestant edition I am aware of is the Schaff collection. However, I know of at least one church fathers collection that is no longer for sale and is also not in my library.

Thanks MJ Smith for your reply. I am trying to understand this. The Fathers of the Church series (27 Vol) was in my wishlist greyed out saying I owned it. I deleted it as a result from the wish list and am not able to reproduce the price that was listed while it was greyed out in the wish list. I do know that hovering over it produced a message that I already owned the product.
The new series of more volumes does not show that I own any of the books (but I actually do own many of the books in my library). So something does not seem right and I am trying to understand it

I suspect it was one of the smaller collections that the Fathers of the Church major collection was broken down into. Or at one time the Fathers of the Church had 127 volumes offered. ...

I'm guessing that what you bought was the Early Church Fathers Protestant Edition (37 vols.). That is a completely different series from the Fathers of the Church. You will not get any dynamic pricing on the latter because you own the former.

More likely it was greyed out because it is no longer sold. Or perhaps what you had in your wishlist was the Early Church Fathers and not the Fathers of the Church.

It looks like the original 127 volume Fathers of the Church by CUA is now replaced by the 136 volume edition. The difference is the recently published 9 volumes in the Fathers of the Church Upgrade. That upgrade was part of some of the recent v8 base package libraries.
There is also a 15 volume Mediaeval Continuation that appears to be in production and a different 2 volume Mediaeval Continuation that is not ready.
It does seem a little confusing.

So altogether in the Fathers of the Church series, out of 127 volumes, I own 24 volumes.

Or, now that the 127 volume version is no longer for sale, you own 24 out of 136 volumes, a little under 20% of the total. The 136 volume collection is thus going to look pretty expensive when it's not on sale.

Yes, I understand that. I am just wondering how I got the 24 volumes.
