Quick toggle parallel

I like how some of the tools in Logos 8 work on a quick toggle premise. Tools like the search, the interlinears, and multiple resources display only require a single click to enable or disable the feature. This allows them to be quickly referenced, and then closed to 'get out of the way'. I think it would be very helpful if the parallel versions offered similar functionality. I would like to be able to set a default/preferred parallel version and then when I click the button in the toolbar, this version would pop open a pane/window with just this version in the linked location. When done, I could then click it again to close the pane and go back to where I was with minimal interruption to my workflow.
Yes, I know I could open another version as a multiple resource, but screen space is limited and so being able to open it on the fly to get a quick second rendering of a text and then close it would help make me more efficient. There could then be a arrow next to the parallel tool icon for when I want to open the full list of available parallel resources to choose a version other than the default to retain the current behavior for times when this is desired.

We have it better than this already. Create a collection of (if you wish) only the two bibles you're interested in. In the collections window be sure to check the box that says "include in parallel resources". Now choose your collection from the parallel resources menu.
Once that is selected you can simply use the left/right arrow keys on your keyboard to toggle between those Bibles!

Thanks! That definitely helps make parallel resources more efficient and I will certainly start using that, but I would still like a way to have it display in a separate popup or pane so I can quickly compare my prioritized version and a parallel version side by side with minimal fuss to my layouts

When your bible pane is active, hit the F7 key and you will get a pop up comparing your 5 top bibles.
Does that help?

That is sometimes helpful, but my keyboard has shared media/function keys so can be awkward at times. It also shows only one verse at a time, which is often only part of a thought or even sentence. I think the multiple resources tool really nails this perfectly, I would just like to see the same behavior on the parallel tool.

Ooooh, I didn't know that... how cool! Where else can I find out such cool "press Fwhatever and this will happen" type stuff?

Hi Carmen,
The Wiki has a listing. Here is the one for Mac:

Does that help?
