Basics of Biblical Hebrew

I keep attempting to purchase BBH on Faithlife TV, but it seems to only come with the package including Basics of Biblical Greek (which I have already had). Is there no way to purchase BBH by itself in Faithlife TV (I really don’t want to deal with the DVD’S)? I already have the text book, workbook, etc.
Thank you much.

Do you have BBG Video lectures on Logos? If you do, you should be able to get the bundle (https://www.logos.com/product/34026/zondervan-biblical-languages-video-lectures) with Dynamic Pricing. If not, you might be out of luck as BBH/BBG aren't sold individually (https://www.logos.com/product/54586/basics-of-biblical-hebrew-video-lectures).

Just as I suspected. I do not have BBG video lectures via Logos (I took the classes apart from Logos), hence it looks like I will be forced to buy the whole package (which is mind boggling to me). Trying to locate these classes elsewhere online (not talking about DVD’s).
Much appreciated.

Yeah - some of these publishers love to bundle things.
Zondervan has these classes online too (https://courses.zondervanacademic.com/biblical-languages/hebrew/biblical-hebrew). But for that price, you're better off buying the Logos bundle.

I strongly agree! I have the lectures and they are awesome 👍😁👌

Yeah, I saw that too. Wayyy too expensive (& I think it’s only accessible for a limited time).
Will probably just bite the bullet and get the bundle. Taking some Greek II now, but I guess I can always keep the Greek I for reference.
Much appreciated.

That does it for me! Going to get them this weekend.
I am stuck at vowels in BBH now & really need the lectures to move forward. Translated my first Hebrew noun last night 🤪.
Blessings.

I wrote my initials with Hebrew letters the other day 🥴

Zondervan will be calling you soon to exegete their next OT text in their commentary line 😜😎!
Bought the bundle tonight. Stuck at vowel markings right now. Big fun 🤯😩.

All the best with your learning journey, Puddin!
Just started on mine (still at the Alephbets); I'm giving Futato's Beginning Biblical Hebrew a go.

Flashcards. (If you use an app, you'll get the added benefit of audio.)
Try to use all your senses to reinforce your learning. Listen to, speak, see, and write what you're learning.
Don't underestimate the importance of learning the vowel names and sounds. If you get a solid handle now with the alphabet and vowels, it will make it much easier, later on, to read Hebrew out loud.
Thanks to FL for including Carta and a Hebrew audio bible in Logos 9!

Yeah, I saw that also. Was curious about it, but already had BBH.
If it’s anything like Greek, there were many places I could have given in, but I just kept replaying the videos and asking my prof. questions until it slowly sank in a bit.
Best of luck mate!

Ok, so, I attempted to transliterate your Hebrew word by myself above I came up with Bhatslacha?
Regarding the app., I actually have flash cards and Van Pelt’s classes on my phone so I can listen when I am in the gym. I am already being tempted to breeze through the classes, but told myself just today the very thing you stated above. Take your time and make 100% certain that you fully comprehend the vowels, names and rules (e.g., gutturals, daghesh forte, vowel letters, etc.).
I really think I could go on to sylabification at this point, but plan to take an extra week on vowels before moving on for the very reasons you mention above. So far I am enjoying it.
About the best I can do for now is: Shalom 🤨!
