"My Bible Word Study" made in L7 is not visible in L8, but L8 thinks it's there.
In L7 I had a Guide named "My Bible Word Study" but I can't find it in L8.
I created a new "My Bible Word Study" in L8 and when I saved it, it was renamed to "My Bible Word Study (2)" as if I already had a guide named "My Bible Word Study".
The L7 guide does not show up in the Guides menu nor in the right-click menu for English, Greek Lemma or Hebrew Lemma words. The L8 "(2)" does.
I made a few custom guides in L7 but don't have a list nor the memory (mine) to notice if any others are missing. I also no longer have an L7 instance to check with.
My guides.db is attached.

This is a confusing point of L8 that came up in the private beta. Your regular (what you would think to be default) word study guide is actually your "My Bible Word Study" from L7 which is why when you created a second one it has the (2) after it.

"My Bible Word Study (2)" is a custom guide and will appear under the heading Custom Guides in the Guides Menu. You can right click to Delete it, or Edit it further (and rename it). But understand that your L7 "My Bible Word Study" appears in L8 as "Bible Word Study" under the Guides heading (that's what you should also see in the right-click menu).
From the Guides.db you should have about 30 Custom Guides, with the same name they had in L7

"Bible Word Study" is the provided guide and can not be deleted ("A" below)
I created "My Bible Word Study" but it was automatically renamed to "My Bible Word Study (2)" ("B" below) when I saved it, which usually happens when there is already a guide by the name I gave it.
The system acts like "My Bible Word Study" exists so it renames it to "My Bible Word Study (2)"
In L8 I only see 20 custom guides. If the DB has 30 custom guides, I can't see 10 of them. That's a problem.

It's not a problem. The 10 you can't see are customized versions of the system-defined guides (including single-section guides) that show up in the menu. Those are not displayed separately.
The guide titled "My Bible Word Study" that you created in L7 and saw there is no longer listed as a separate template. This is because using a special title as a way of overriding the default template is extremely hard for any user to discover on their own. Instead, when you customize the system template, the changes are automatically saved to a "My" titled guide that is not visible. If you ever run an older version of the application, you'll see your customizations stored in those templates.
