Questions about the Atlas
Hello.
I was reading through 2 Timothy 4 today (ESV) and noticed several Atlas markers because of the several cities listed in that chapter. Out of curiosity (Having never done much with the Atlas before), I clicked a couple of them to see what opened. Each time the Atlas opened with the current verse populated in the search, but the map just opened to the 'Biblical World - The Early Church' and centered on a mostly empty region of Israel. I had expected it would at least center the view on the city referenced by the marker. Is it supposed to do this? Feeling a bit underwhelmed by this feature at the moment!

This passage isn't included in our Biblical Events data, so it's just a collection of cities, and the 'Biblical World - The Early Church' overview map is the best way to show that. We don't currently have the ability to generate a map for an ad hoc list of cities.
But i can reproduce some odd behavior with the Atlas markers in this passage: i'll report it.
You can see what should happen for an individual place name if you right-click on Thessalonica in the text, choose the Place on the right side of the context menu, and then select Atlas on the left side. That brings up the 'Biblical World - The Early Church' overview map, but then zooms in on Thessalonica. I'm not sure what behavior is intended for the Atlas markers, and in some verses there are multiple places listed, which would make zooming in trickier.

It seems the atlas markers are placed next to individual city names and so I would expect them to center on that city (Biblical place object) that the marker was adjacent to in the text. Strangely, when I went back to look at this again today, all the atlas markers are gone from that passage, even though Logos is set to display in the visual filters.
