BUG: Changing highlighting palette/style on highlighted text extremely slow.

Faithlife eBook App; Android v. 7.0; App v. 8.0.7 (800077501)

Steps:

Swipe to highlight text in a book (the text will be highlighted with the last style you selected)
tap the highlighted text and select the three vertical dots in the pop-up menu to select a different palette/style
Tap a pallet other than the one the current highlight style is from - it takes around 20 seconds to switch to that palette.
tap a style in that palette - it takes around 20 seconds to switch to that style

If you have to scroll up or down to get to your palette/style, it often freezes the app for about 20 seconds.
If you taped the palette/style you want and, as it sometimes does, scrolls up or down, it may select a different palette/style that ends up in the physical location on the screen where you tapped (not the palette/style you intended to select)

click Done in the top-right corner to apply your new style to the highlighted text.

I do a lot of highlighting and use many palettes/styles. Switching from one style to another takes 45-60 seconds and really slows down my reading/study.

This is still a problem - currently in Android v. 8.13.0.

A few observations that I hope will help this get fixed - soon please.

I have a lot of custom highlights that have labels
If I have something highlighted with a labeled highlight, it takes an extremely long time to change it to change it to a different labeled highlight.
When I swipe to highlight something, the text is highlighted in just a couple seconds
If I tap on something that is already highlighted and press on one of the preset colors on the pop-up menu, it changes the highlight color in just a couple seconds.
If I tap on something that is highlighted in one of the preset colors and try to change it to a labeled highlight that is NOT in the recent list (I have to open a pallet, then tap on the labeled highlight, the process can take 5 to 20 seconds.
If you tap on something that is highlighted with a labeled highlight and try to change it to a labeled highlight that is NOT in the recent list (I have to open a pallet, then tap on the labeled highlight, the process can take 5 to 20 seconds.

It acts like the highlight data is either

not all downloaded and has to reload when you use a highlight that is not a default color option or not on the Recent list.
The app is inefficient in its management and use of highlights.

ALSO -

I have discovered that highlights that are applied in my Android tablet do show up on the same text in the same resource along with the correct color and inserted text, but not its associated label. Not having the labels sync across causes incomplete search results based on those labels.

NOTE -

I use the laptop to extend my study-based reading for when I am away from my laptop. Highlighting helps me gather information from my tablet reading when I get back to my laptop. (as well as keep track of where I am in my reading from one device to the other).
