Logos4 Lite - a request for a reader

I'd like to ask Logos 4 developers to consider a Lite version of Logos - just a simple screen for READING the books I own. It would start faster and have several tap zones (clickable by mouse or finger on touch screens) for changing pages, and a Contents page (with auto-hide) mode for navigation.

I'd program one if I had the API :-)

Except the COM API (application programming interface) requires that the full version be running (you can use the API to start Logos4 if it isn't running). And the API is limited to extracting Library info and sending Logos4 messages to open resources to specific locations. It doesn't give the programmer access to the resource content.

I am not "tech-head" either. I was simply letting the OP know that the API was released with the most recent Beta.[:)] I have not used this feature primarily because I have no idea what to do with it. I plan to benefit from the labor and creativity of the "tech-heads" that know what to do with it. [;)]

Not to dissuade the Logos developers with their appointment with a reader, using Library.Logos.com seems to do what you're mentioning. I use it with my touch screen and a tabbed browser (Opera). I put my library in the first tab, book contents in the second tab and reading in the third. I'm guessing though, that you're probably wanting to use the reader with on-PC books, highlights, and notes. Which, I'd assume introduces a fair degree of complexity. Of course the browser version does printing and copying too, so who knows.
