Got my prepub order of this resource (2.25GB!) yesterday and have started browsing the early issues.

They are not just a record of Christian news and opinions but of history. For example in 1956 and 1957 China was the subject of several articles including one by William F. Knowland, Senate minority leader, who starts his article on China :"No more critical issue faces American leaders in the days ahead than the one of admission of Communist China into the United Nations." In the same issue Lt. Gen. William K. Harrison, D.D., commander in chief, Caribbean Command, United States Armed Forces writes on "Christianity and peace in our day".

Already in 1956 two articles on Israel's right to Palestine, giving contradictory views, and a simple search of Israel NEAR Palestine shows 77 articles up to 2014.

There will be plenty of interesting reading to come.

The prepub price was a quarter of the current one, so what a deal!

I too love this resource. I have created a CT Collection to facilitate searching. Does anyone know how I would search the Tables of Contents for a particular topic like "Prayer?"

In other words, can I generate a list of all the articles in CT with the word "prayer" in the title rather than all occurances of the word in all the articles themselves?

Yes, huge blessing to have these resources at a great price and not look like I’m a hoarder when you walk into my home from having every back issue. Digital hoarding is okay, right? Right?

Anyway, I did the same thing you did when they downloaded: opened up the first couple of issues and browsed. It was neat to read Billy Graham the same way I’d read DA Carson today.

Yes. You can restrict the search to search fields, e.g. Heading Text and Large Text to accomplish this:

Have joy in the Lord! Smile

I also noticed that some of the volumes, despite the description, do contain images. Wonderful. It would be really awesome if images could be added to all volumes in the future.
