Bug: Reading Plan Cards on Homepage

Hello, First time poster here,

I haven't found a discussion regarding this yet.

If you have multiple reading plan cards on the homepage, being read at different days, they all show "Today" for the next reading.

Is it possible in the future that the actual date of the next reading will appear on the card?

Thanks for any thoughts.

    Welcome, R Kiser

This is a bug or problem, as it needs to be fixed.

Can you edit your post so that the title begins with Bug: e.g. Bug: Reading Plan Cards on Homepage.

    +1

Incidentally, I just posted a related complaint over in "Deutsch".
As I have signed up for the ÖAB reading plan, the corresponding reading card on the dashboard
just says "1 reading" which pretty much says nothing.
(Strangely a reading plan I create for myself contains full scripture references.)

Given the informational density of card I might just as well remove it from the dashboard
to free up valuable space for something else.

    Cheers
    Thomas

    Please elaborate on that one.

I answered you already in the German language forum, that as per my experience, Reading Plans are not created equal. There are three different levels, increasing in complexity. If I pick the third one (as is necessary for the Reading Plan we are discussing here) and build it from bible references, it never has shown the scripture reference. I simply thought the developers never had the time to complete the Reading Plan tiles. If Logos 8 does show references in this scenario for you, please share steps and/or screenshots to reproduce, because then either I'm doing something wrong or my installation is faulty. Thanks!

I don't think there is anything wrong with your reading plan.
It is more likely the method of rendering (or not rendering) that is at fault here.

Not sure whether it is a good idea to add here another issue I just noticed.

When I create a new reading plan, it is automatically added to the dashboard (okay, but why?).
When I subsequently delete the reading plan, the respective card remains on the dashboard (not okay).
I would expect the reading plan to be automatically removed (and thus no longer referenced) from the dashboard.

Is this a known a bug?

    Not on Windows, Logos 8.1:

    • a new Reading Plan is automatically added to the Dashboard (for ease of use?), but
    • it can be deleted/removed via its menu; whilst
    • it can be restored from the Dashboard menu

If the card is not removed (Mac?, v8.0?), does Refreshing with F5 do that?

I can duplicate this bug.  Any reading plans where the next reading's date is in the future will say  "Today."
