What happens when you pull the Main window off to the side and resize the docs menu?
That solved it, but why was it like that in the first place? Is there a keyboard shortcut to float a documents window? (if not, there should be.)
FYI—I found out that you can resize the Docs menu by clicking on the top portion of it and dragging.
See the darkened corner on the lower right? That is Windows standard resize indicator.

Not that I know of but a right click on Doc gives you the option
