Homepage Dashboard Layouts Relaunching New Window

Not sure if this is a bug or working as intended I have an issue with my Logos 8 behavior on Mac. When I launch a Quickstart Guide from the homepage dashboard, my Logos 8 window closes (appears like its crashing almost) then a new window is launched from the dock with the guide. The biggest annoyance is the new window does not remember the location/size of the previous window so I have to take additional steps to maximize or relocate the new window.

Is anyone else seeing this behavior? Any known fix?

    I have further isolated the behavior to when I have a custom default Quickstart layout. If I click on the "return to default layout" then the dashboard badge will launch as normal. When I replace the layout with a custom one, I get the behavior described in my first post.
