Searching with Strong numbers

I am using Logos 8 on a Desktop.

I sometimes struggle with basic tasks. I am now trying to search a particular Greek word in the LXX using a Strong number. I am looking in the Lexham Greek-English Interlinear Septuagint.

I am sure it should be quite simple, but I cannot get it to work. Should I maybe search with a lemma rather than a Strong number? I tried to have it as open resource next to the ESV, but as that is open in the NT (to find Greek word) I can only open resources with that verse in it, so not the LXX. That would have enabled me to search in open resources.

Can anyone tell me how to accomplish this?

It seems this resource is not tagged with Strong's numbers - this may be the case for all Septuagint (there's one Rahlf's one that has Strong's, but for the Hebrew words of the assumed Vorlage text). So yes, it's much better to go with lemma searches here.

Thank you very much for the quick reply. I am quite a bit further. However, I am having trouble with step 4 above.

I tried opening the LXX interlinear in a new window on the left, but if I search all open resources, I get a new tab in the left pane with results in the ESV (and any other translations I have open in the right hand pane) but not the LXX. I have now managed to get some results by searching specifically in the LXX (search All Text in All Passages in The Lexham Greek-English Septuagint, but from your description it looks as if this can be done in an easier way.

This is weird. Why should the LXX not show up? It does easily for me - did you pick a peculiar NT-only word? Using a simple example, I get hits in both and can position the LXX to the search hits easily by clicking on the highlighted search results in what I now made a middle tab:

alternatively, you could copy over the prepared search phrase from the search tab into the inline search of the LXX and run it directly (indicated by the purple arrow). You can even copy the lemma in the ESV from the right-click menu, paste it into the inline search bar of the LXX and choose the lemma (easily recognizable by its symbol, the translation ring), then run the search fully without a search panel open.

Once again, very grateful for fast help.

The lemma is in the LXX. That was not the problem.

Copying the purple arrow is what I had already managed to do. I now also got the green box with results. I think I was looking at "ranked" and not "By resource". It all works fine now. I obviously need more practice - doing my best [;)]

Should I maybe search with a lemma rather than a Strong number?

The Lexham English Septuagint (LES) is a translation with Greek reverse interlinear that can be searched by lemma or root

I am now trying to search a particular Greek word in the LXX using a Strong number.

Strong's number is assigned to one lemma (dictionary form). Root search finds related words. For example. faith has adjective (4101,4103), noun (4102) and verb (4100,4104) forms. Searching for <Root = lbs/el/πιστευω> finds all faith forms
