Sync from desktop to ipad
I do my Bible study at my desktop and anchor note to words, phrases, etc. I use highlights to remind me of comments I want to emphasize.
In the past, within a matter of minutes, the notes, highlights, etc. appeared on my ipad exactly as seen on my desktop. This no longer happens. Have tried to sync data on the ipad. Notes seem to sync, but the anchors are gone. No highlights sync.
What do I do?

Are the resources downloaded on your iPad?
If not, try downloading them and see if that helps

Yes. My notes usually include cross-references from the same Bible.
Then there are highlights from the highlight tool. If I put a highlight from the ipad it is shown. But none are seen that were installed from the desktop.

I noticed this same problem several weeks ago just after Logos 8 was released. I had added a note and a highlight to Genesis 2:20 KJV on my Windows laptop and discovered it did not transfer to my iPad or my iPhone. I called tech support and they told me it was a known problem. I waited several weeks and realized that highlight became visible on my iPhone, but still not on my iPad. Conversely, the note icon became visible on my iPad but still not on my iPhone. In fact, hardly any note icons were visible on my iPhone. I discovered from a post by J. Remington Bowling that there is a way to “force a sync” on the desktop by holding the shift key while clicking the sync icon. I did that and then deleted and reinstalled the iOS App on both my iPad and iPhone. Finally, my notes and highlights seem consistent across all my devices.
Yesterday, from my laptop, I added a note and highlight to Gen.1:31 KJV and then added an anchor and a highlight to Mat.19:21, Mk.10:21 and Lk.18:22. All four highlights synced to my KJV on my iPad and iPhone, but the note synced only to Mat., Mk., and Lk., but not to Gen.1:31. I tried “force a sync” repeatedly on my laptop, as well as “sync” on my iPad and iPhone App, all to no avail. I assume it would sync properly if I again delete and reload the App on my Apple devices, but that is quite time-consuming. My hope is that my experience will help the techs at Faithlife to solve this problem for all of us.
FYI: I am running Logos Bible Software Version 8.1.8.0016 on a Windows 10 Dell Laptop. I am running the Logos Bible Study Tools App for iOS Version 8.0.8 (8.0.8.0005) on both my Apple iPad Air 2 and my Apple iPhone 7. Both are running iOS 12.1.2. Blessings!

I don't think this will solve your problem (it might), but this shows why it is important to be explicit. You are out of date! Your version was released November 13. A newer version (8.1.0.0016) was released on December 10.

Yes.
I am unsure what this "yes" is to. For clarification: Your resource is downloaded on mobile, right? I think Graham was asking because there has been a bug related to resources "in the cloud."
If it is downloaded, try deleting the resource. Does it work in the cloud? Re-download it. Does it work then? What if you click on the "sync your data" button under settings?
My notes usually include cross-references from the same Bible.
Are these simple highlights, or something else?
