In the past, I used to be able to find the version number of the app within the app itself.

I thought that information appeared in the "hamburger" tab Settings menu (and initially assumed that the information had been removed from there).

I ended up opening the App Store and obtaining the app's version number from there.

After making another attempt to locate the version number in the app, I finally discovered it under the Help menu. Perhaps that's where it was located all along, but it wasn't my first guess as to where to look.

What do you think about additionally providing the version number in Settings? The account information appears there (as well as Help), so there's certainly a precedent in information appearing in two places.

Thank you.

Hamburger menu in the lower right => Help

There's an App Info section on that screen.

    Right?

Yep, eventually found it there, but Help hadn't been my first choice to check.

I suppose I'm spoiled by being accustomed to going to About and finding it there.

Ideally, we shouldn't have to memorize obscure differences between apps on where to find information like that.
