B3 forces me to log on. If I am not connected to the internet I can't start B3 unless I say I am a new user.
Why is a log on essential?
1. Is to make sure all updates are automatically made? The L3 update routine always downloads any font that I do not have installed and places them in the windows/font directory. I find this annoying because I do not keep my fonts in the windows/font directory (I have more than 40,000 fonts ... for all sorts of reasons). How many dozens of times have I downloaded the same fonts in L3?
I also have had problems with L3 update some resources over and over again because it places the resource in the default directory that may not be in the resource path. So it downloads the same resource over and over.
2. Is it to communicate some license information? If so we should know what information is now being stored in the license files eg date of purchase, supplier, type of bank card, visa card number. What personal information is being thrown backwards and forwards every time I start L4?
