Sermon Planning Calendar Workflow Question
Has anyone created a Sermon Planning Calendar Workflow for Logos 8?
Currently, I create a notebook in Logos 8 (Sermon Plan 2019, for example). Each note I create is for a different month. I map out different themes each month and add verses and thoughts in each note. I may also create a different note for a sermon series that is verse-by-verse.
It works but it is sometimes hard to find the notes. I would like to create a workflow that puts all of the initial notes together.
Any thoughts? Has anyone created their own workflow that works?

Jim, I simply use a spreadsheet for each year with rows and columns. I can used cells to identify holidays or events that will be on the minds of people and the "red" cells are the dates that we will observe the Lord's table and I consider how to integrate the meaning of communion into my message so that the service is cohesive (rather than an awkward "we're doing this only because its on the calendar").

Theoretically you have to decide if you want to address felt needs of the congregation, exalt Jesus Christ and encourage Christlikeness, preach about pressing issues in community, country and world, prepare people to do volunteer ministry (outreach and others), etc.
Inductive Bible study system by Kay Arthur focuses on: Life, Character and Lifestyle, which could be handy to frame components.
In one particular group, a topic is chosen for the Sunday sermon. It is distributed to lay leaders so they can study, explore, and discuss the topic in small groups meeting during the week previous to that week's Sunday.
Key points, inquiries, spin offs, etc. are then sent to the Preacher who then takes the input to fine tune the Sermon.
The system seems interesting, although not sure how effective it is, or if is allowed in all kind of traditions.
