Outlook 2010 wont sync reading plan?

I made the switch to 2010 outlook, but it wont sync? it starts the "export" but just for a few seconds then stops, but nothing shows up in my calendar? this is a important thing for me since i am a daily reader on my windows phone and use this feature for reading on my phone when syncing with outlook.

Is this a known bug or is there something wrong on my side? can anyone confirm or dismiss ? i would be grateful for any help

I've had similar problems in Outlook 2007 (though I had no issues previously). It was as I wanted to edit a plan and reinsert it into Outlook. I should add that sometimes nothing happens (as the OP has pointed out) and sometimes I merely get the 2010 plan name...

here is my log file, i should point out in 2007 it worked fine, but my reading plan starts to come to its end and i wanted to restart it but since i got office 2010.

Thanks, we'll review the log.

Edit: Was the log generated during the Export to Outlook process? If not, please enable logging again (if necessary) and attempt to export the reading plan, then attach the new log.

Is this a known issue with Outlook 2010, Melissa? I am having the same problem and did ask for help in a separate message to the board. My log file is attached to that message.

i reinstalled outlook 2010, and also reinstalled logos fresh, and now it works, cant explain why but it does its a bit much work and wait for just one feature, and i cant guarantee it will work for you, but if you are desperate it may be worth a try.

Thanks...this is a new 64-bit PC. Since I installed Office 2010 Trial, MS may have installed the 64-bit version, which I am told does have some problems. I installed 2010 on my laptop and will check tomorrow to see if it will import there. If so, then I will copy that file to my main PC.

Update, Office 2010 is the 32-bit version and the export to 2010 from L4 still refuses to work for me. Ready to go back to L3 at this point or try finding a copy of Outlook 2007. I have tried everything, but I refuse to reinstall L4 in the hopes it will work. Been working on this for 4 days......[8o|]

If you've got the trial version, I'm having the same problem with it, however, one of our techs confirmed with someone on staff that it does work in their Outlook 2010. I'll be getting the fully-licensed version soon and will be able to verify this.

Thanks, Melissa. Yes, I contacted the Support Staff and they relayed that message to me as well. For now I can purchase 2007, create the file, and then get the free update as well for 2010, which hopefully will allow me to open up that file into the newer version. It is rather strange that there would be a difference between the Trial and the Production version. I wonder if it has anything to do with the Trial Version putting that extra "Q" drive, which is a virtual storage. From what I have been told, once you purchase the Outlook 2010, that drive should disappear.

Anyway, thanks again. At least I have a potential work around without too much cost.

I did find that after installing a full, non-trial version of Outlook 2010 that the Export to Outlook feature is now working for reading plans.

Okay, thanks. I wondered if that could be a problem with the Trial software. Have to wait until Outlook 2007 arrives next week, then download the free update.
