Searches for things like

Sorry for the convoluted question here.

OK, I've got the basic search for:

<Person Abraham>

I also know that I can search for

<Person Abraham> AND (believe OR trust)

Is is possible to search for

<Person Abraham> AND <Subject (or some other term) Faith>

I don't know how to ask this, I guess, but in the above, what are Person and Subject called in the search? Is there a place where I can find a list of those terms? 

I did discovered this by accident:

<Sense to trust (faith)> AND <Person Abraham>

So, I can use Sense as a something (what's it called?)

I'm still left feeling blind when it comes to other searches. Yes, I did stumble across <Sense to trust (faith)>, but I really dislike stumbling around, hoping I'll land on something useful. Where do I find a list of these terms? If a list doesn't exist, I would be happy to collaborate with someone one putting one together for the benefit of the Logos family.

Here are two useful resources with a list of search terms.

• One is the in-app Help, under Searching -> Advanced Searching.

• The other is the Search information at the Logos wiki.

Thanks for the help. I completely missed the fact that the drop down menu in the Search lane fills in the appropriate code.

In Bible search, this looks for verses that have <Person Abraham> AND (believer OR trust) while Basic search looks for AND items being in the same Article, Chapter, ...

Personally use INTERSECTS or WITHIN ## WORDS more often for searching.

For searches that combine different constraints, you may find Bible Browser to be helpful. In this case:

• Under Preaching Themes, select Faith
• Under People, select Abraham (you'll have to hit "more")

So "Preaching Themes" is one answer to "what is 'subject' called?". We've annotated all Bible pericopes with Preaching Themes, so they're a good choice for this kind of topical search. You can see a list of all Preaching Themes in the dataset documentation here.
