Diacritic-agnostic Searching for Notes
In v.8, searching notes for Greek, Hebrew, or Aramaic text depends on exactly representing diacritics. So, for instance, if I have a note titled קִנְיָן, and I search for קנין (no vowel points), I don't get a hit for that note.
Similarly, if I have a note titled ἑξῆς, and I search for εξης, the note also isn't listed as a result. More frustratingly, if the note uses precombined characters as in ἑξῆς (epsilon + precombined rough breathing, eta + precombined circumflex), even if I search for the graphically identical ἑξῆς (but with combining epsilon, rough breathing, eta, and circumflex characters), I still get no search results.
In v.7, there was the ability to sort notes by title. If v.8 had this ability, this search quirk wouldn't be such an issue.—And I do like being able to search notes so much more easily in v.8. :-)
But, is there any way to search notes based solely on the letters involved and irrespective of vowel points (Hebrew, Aramaic) or accents and breathing marks (Greek)? The location boxes for lexical resources (e.g., DCH, BDAG) already support this, and it would be wonderful if there were a way to do this kind of search in notes as well.
Thank you so much for your help!
