Canvas Tool - Why didn’t Faithlife incorporate iPencil or Microsoft Pen?

Many Logos users use iPad pros with apple pencils and Surface Books and Surface book pros with a Microsoft pen. Why did’t Logos make actual note taking or writing available in the canvas tool using those devices? Writing I the canvas tool seems natural, whereas, typing does not. Using an Apple Pencil or Microsoft pen simply makes sense and using the tool without the ability to write with my Apple Pencil or Microsoft Pen seems unintuative. The canvas tool seems thrown together with deep thought to the end users and half baked. Surel, someone at Logos thought about this and I can‘t imagine that it would be that terribly hard to incorporate into the canvas tool. Maybe we’ll see this feature added....soon! Any thoughts?

I cannot speak for Faithlife, but I suspect we will will continue to see improvements and added features to the Canvas tool. How much time they dedicate to those improvements will likely me determined by usage statistics. While the apple pencil or microsoft pen is not at the top of my list, I can see where that would important to those who use those devices.

It would be much trickier to provide support for that than in the iOS app.

This would require Faithlife to actually acknowledge that touchscreens exist and that Logos users would actually like to interact with the software via touch functionality, wouldn't it? Something that Faithlife frustratingly continues to ignore in not making the software more touch friendly. If Logos had already been more touch-oriented it would have been very natural and automatic for them to design canvas to work with Apple Pencil or Microsoft Pen. But alas, no.

It should be integrated into the note-taking capabilities itself and, ideally, allow marking directly in books the way that one can with, say, PDF files.
