Feature: Don't sync scaling?

My laptop is a 13 inch 1080-ish screen, my desktop is a 27 inch 1440 screen. In order to read on a 1440 screen the text scaling needs to be much larger than is feasible for comfortable reading on a 1080 screen. But this means that every time I switch to working on my laptop or vice versa I have to change the scaling of all the books I've been reading.

Is it possible to simply not synchronize text scaling from one device to another?

I believe the scaling of individual panels is synced, but I think the global scaling settings are not (I might be mistaken). Try setting the scaling in your resources back to the default (the large tick mark). Then adjust the global Content scaling (to just adjust the resource scaling) or Program scaling (to adjust the entire application) in your Program Settings panel (from the tools menu). Even if this setting is synced, it'll still be faster to make your change in one place rather than in each resource.
