bug: crash on all searches

I have just downloaded and started using 4.0d beta 2. Logos consistently crashes within a few seconds after I start a search of any kind. The first time I experienced this crash, I did a search on a Hebrew word in the ESV, and while it was searching, I clicked on the box in the top left hand corner of the panel to see if the "copy to clipboard" had been included in this beta. It has, but the program crashes before I can use it[:(]. My log files are included. FYI, Logos was still indexing at the time.

Ken I cannot produce a crash/ I did several different searches on both greek and hebrew words and could not crash. Can you provide the steps you are taking to produce this crash?

Neither can I - at least not now. I left Logos for about an hour while it was indexing, and now when I come back, I am able to do searches of all kinds without crashes. I really like the ability to collapse search results by book!

Searching whilst indexing is hazardous!

Yes, but the worst hazard should be not being able to find what you're looking for (or locating it in the wrong place), not crashing. I hope Logos can look at the log file and figure out why that was happening and fix it.

The release notes said: "This page is incomplete and will be updated on Wednesday, June 2." I wonder what other new features they snuck in there that haven't yet been described. Can't wait to see what shows up in the release notes tomorrow!

Update: The exception would occur when searching if no valid index existed, whether indexing was underway or not. This bug was introduced in 4.0d beta and will be fixed in beta 3.
