You don't want one like mine. It is so long that on my laptop computer, I can't even get a screenshot of it all.

Mine are basically my frequently used resources and tools. Several of which are different combinations of Bibles that I need to use frequently. (When I'm preaching, I like to consult the four versions most frequently used in my church, but different combinations of those Bibles is often useful.) So, from left-to-right:

    • NIV
    • NIV with NKJV (multiview)
    • NIV with NKJV, ESV and KJV (multiview)
    • ESV
    • ESV with NKJV (multiview)
    • ESV with NKJV, NIV and KJV (multiview)
    • NKJV
    • NKJV with NIV (multiview)
    • NKJV with NIV, ESV and KJV (multiview)
    • NIV 1984
    • LEB
    • LES
    • Grudem's Systematic Theology
    • Text Converter
    • Gospel Transformation Study Bible
    • Bible Outline Browser
    • Commentaries Custom Passage Guide
    • Anchor Yale Bible Dictionary
    • New Bible Dictionary
    • New Treasury of Scripture Knowledge
    • ESV Study Bible
    • Dictionary of Bible Themes
    • Who's Who in the Jewish Bible
    • Zondervan Encyclopaedia of the Bible
    • New Testament Use of the Old interactive
    • Favorites
    • Concise Oxford English Dictionary
    • Notes
    • Courses

On the left the are some dictionaries, then Bibles (Finnish, English, original languages)

Capital omega is for CNTTS because it i not always visible in the passage study layout.

The flags are with the Lexham syntactic NT, also because the sentence analysis is not alvways visible in the passage study layout.

    Atlases, study Bibles.

Four book-like shortcuts are for layouts: orange for pictures from books, I change the pictures perhaps every other day (after Logos 8 home screen lost a similar feature). Green for reading lectionaries, prayer/devotion, and the book under study/read. Red and blue are OT and NT original language daily study layouts.

Gold package, and original language material and ancient text material, SIL and UBS books, discourse Hebrew OT and Greek NT. PC with Windows 11

    • Open Biblical Events (my current project)
    • Open Amber (my current beta focus)
    • Faithlife server status
    • FSD (facilitate serendipitous discovery)
    • Five Gospel Parallel (University of Toronto)
    • app.Logos (don't know why it isn't Verbum)
    • ThALES (a database of lectionaries)
    • Logos Reading lists (for editting)
    • Wordnet
    • Silva rhetorica (great site for figures of speech)
    • Lector prep site
    • USCCB (US bishops' site)
    • Jewish lectionary
    • Hebrew calendar
    • Byzantine Catholic lectionary
    • Canon layout ... this has lost it's link so I have to track it down again
    • Cascadia Syntax Graphs ... a Canvas/Sentence diagramer project on back burner
    • Text This Week - essential lectionary preaching/teaching site
    • the religion teacher video/web site
    • Text Comparison
    • Faithlife

Yes, organization is lacking and many of the links show where I think Logos is lacking ...but I have a rather different approach than most who have responded.

Orthodox Bishop Alfeyev: "To be a theologian means to have experience of a personal encounter with God through prayer and worship."; Orthodox proverb: "We know where the Church is, we do not know where it is not."

    • Close all windows

If you have Logos 8 you don’t need “close all windows” anymore. It comes included in the software and it shows every time panels are opened 👍😁👌

So you can erase it and add another favorite tool or resource if you want.

The examples above show why we need to be able to stack shortcuts in Folders--like shortcuts in Chrome.Imagine being able to open a folder full of shortcuts!  That would be so awesome.

The one I use by far the most is the text comparison tool - I love having one click access to see a verse in all my Bible versions.

I also use the search shortcut frequently (to find a highlight style I use for bookmarks).

It would be nice to have folders with the ability to right click for a context menu that allows us to "open all".  Folders would allow organization of related resources to make better use of the limited space in the shortcut bar.  I'd like a folder for "favorite Bibles", "favorite dictionaries", etc.

Did you know about pressing F7 when you're hovering over a verse? That might be even better for you!

No, I didn't - thanks! That gives me something slightly different: it shows the verse in my top 5 bibles and it can also show more than one verse at a time - very handy. I will enjoy using that too. [:)]

If you are on Windows, there is a slick solution outside of Logos. WinStep Nexus has docks which can have subdocks, It also has tabbed shelves if you prefer. There's quite a lot of ways to organize your shortcuts. From Logos get the L4 shortcut for whatever tool, resource, doc you want to access. Edit the shortcut to remove or change the reference or options. Make the link and organize however you like. You can also assign shortcut keys to show/hide the shelves or to each of your links so that you can add shortcut keys to whatever tools Logos doesn't already provide shortcut keys to.

There are some demos on Youtube that demo it, like: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JTlF8m32w6U

Some functionality like multiple docks and shelves are unlocked by purchase, $30USD. Very much worth it. It's also very themeable. Most of the demos have pretty wild themes. You can opt for a more toned down theme if that's your preference. Great tool.

    What'sin your shortcuts bar?

I can tell you what's NOT in my shortcuts bar...ENOUGH SPACE TO MAKE IT FUNCTIONAL!

I've fussed about this for years...including putting up a UserVoice request. This is one thing that would make the software so much more customizable, but almost nothing has been done with it in at least 10 years.

    Frustrating!

Here is what is in my SC bar-

    • ESV
    • Lexham Greek NT
    • Highlights
    • (a SC that no longer works for some reason)
    • Show Cited By
    • Show History
    • Collections
    • Favorites
    • Update Active Layout
    • Open Book Reading Layout
    • Open Serendipitous Clippings
    • Open Serendipitous Notes

As you can see, the icon set is insufficient and is not customizable (I made a UserVoice item for that, too, but it was also ignored), and the allotted space is insufficient and encroached upon by the popup tools.

Too bad. It could be so much more.
