iPad and Logos
If I knew that I could put any book in my Logos Library on an iPad, I would buy one today.
I am waiting for this to all sort out. I want a comfortable way to read books that I want to read cover to cover.

The way I understand things is as follows. Logos is putting as many as possible onto these other platforms (Ipad, Ipod, and Iphone). Some it is just a matter of programming. I am also told that the publishers can not allow Logos to put them on these other laptops.

I think you are right. That is a big part of what I am waiting to sort out. I think that Logos would like to place our Logos books on these mobile ereaders. That only makes sense or they would have never offered the iphone / iPad app. I appreciate them doing what they can for us.
Perhaps we will never have most of our books available in such a form. In that case, I don't need an iPad or other ebook reader.
I hope that we are headed towards the time when the resources I buy from Logos will be available in a form more suited for cover to cover reading. This will complement (not replace) Logos software's ability to do research. I want this capacity only as an addition to Logos, not as a primary study tool.
The other alternative is to wait for technology to produce something like an iPad that can run the full Logos program. I beleive that is still a few years off, but it will come. It is amazing how fast technology changes.
In the mean time, I think my desire for an iPad is more of a want than a real need.

I would love to see that!!!! I currently have a few books that I want to read and can read on the Ipod. Like you, however, I too have a few books that I would like to see added to the Ipod.
I am going to make a prediction that within 5 years we will have a "very portable" computer that will run Logos. I am thinking much more portable that a current laptop.

I want publishers to "get with it" and offer their reading material in multiple media, letting the customer decide just how they want to read it.
To me, it does not make sense, that I would have to buy the same book in paperback, then in one digital form, then in another digital form. There are books, in which I have the hard back, the Logos 4 version, and a Kindle version, because a digital version is not available in Logos for my iPhone, due to "publisher issues".
Three versions; one book.
