Unable to prioritize library

I have added a great deal to my library recently and my current count is now over 12K. I am completely unable to use the prioritize feature in the library. It causes complete unresponsiveness and forces me to quit. Three different Windows machines including my desktop which has 10 GB RAM and a 6 core processor. I am rebuilding the index now because I cannot figure anything else out.

Is this normal? This shouldn't be so wonky.

All latest Win 10 and L8.

Can you post a screen shot of part of it. How big is your list (how many screens)?

My list isn't that long. Apparently this feature isn't a problem on a Mac. The interface on Windows weirds out. It only works if you open it in a tab window. Then it's fine. I am surprised the development / QA folks wouldn't default to a tab window if it doesn't work at all without it. Maybe they want parity with the Mac, but it doesn't work at all on Windows without a window.

I havn't found it to be a problem in Windows, whether Library is in my layout or opened from the top menu.

    How are you accessing Prioritize?

If you read what I wrote, I have found it unstable in Windows from the library unless I open a window to do so. Whether this is a hardware problem, a coding issue, or something else, I do not know.

I wound up completely reinstalling Logos L8 application on two of my three Windows machines.

If you open up the Library window and use the priority from the pulldown, you are still looking at a truncated priority window on the right. It is a terrible GUI. Not at all keeping with the rest of Logos.I won't even try using it like that ever again even if it works. I will open a window to prioritize from now on.

That's been the way since Logos 4.

My question related to this. What "window" are you opening if it is not the Library window?

I tested this in my Windows desktop and Macbook Air. I cannot reproduce the issues your describe.

I open it and then open the tab window..

Why it screwed up, I have no idea. It did it on three Windows 10 1809 machines. And I had to reinstall L8 on two of them.

I hadn't done any prioritizing in quite some time. I never noticed how bad the GUI was before. On a premier desktop application, that is just so poor. How hard is that to fix?

So you had problems when you right-click a resource(s) in Library, and use one of the Prioritize options from the "pulldown"? Whatever you prioritize goes to the bottom of the list, and may not be visible until you scroll down.

From the last time proposals were reviewed, extremely hard  e.g.

Orthodox Bishop Alfeyev: "To be a theologian means to have experience of a personal encounter with God through prayer and worship."; Orthodox proverb: "We know where the Church is, we do not know where it is not."
