Can you search all your personal books of a topic or word?
Hi Brian - and welcome to the forums
You can certainly search for words - results appear in the "Your Books" section of a Basic Search
Searching for topics should be possible - although I haven't checked - but would need explicit tagging

Brian - Do you understand what Graham said here? See the wiki: https://wiki.logos.com/Personal_Books#Syntax
I guess I asked the wrong question. I am new to Logos. The real question is how do you search your personal books?
That is the question Graham answered.

I can take your question here in one of two ways:
1) I need to learn how to search a specific book (personal book or otherwise).
2) I know how to search a particular book, but I don't know how to search my personal books as a whole.
Do either of those sum up your question? If so which one? If not, can you explain more about what you are trying to do?
Welcome [:D]
A Basic search option for personal books is using a collection of Edition:User that will have search results in Your Books section. For example, can search for Love articles in personal books using syntax:
([field heading,largetext] Love)
Forum thread => Huge encyclopaedia: The Dictionary of Christianity and the Bible includes large personal book files.

# 2. I know how to do the basic search with the purchased books. But the personal books that I added. For instance, I would like to look up "Righteousness by Faith" in all my personal books.

I am in a hurry right now and am not able to post screen shots. Some quick thoughts:
