Note tags vs. resource tags

I'm disappointed that the tag field in the Notes Tool doesn't draw on the same tagging vocabulary that I have spent several years implementing in my Resource Information panel.  I haven't found any other mention of this issue in the forums.  Does anyone know if this desired integration of tag terms is already on a Logos coming-soon list or a User Voice wish list?

Not to my knowledge. But I am curious, why would it need to draw on the resource tags? The two don't talk together at all to my knowledge, nor do I really see a reason for them to. Can you help me understand your thoughts on this?

 Exactly, they don't talk together, that I can find, but I'd like them to.  I have some pretty fine-grained tagging conventions for areas of biblical studies that particularly interest me.  When I add tags to my notes, I'd like to have access to the same vocabulary that I have already created for my resources, so I'm not reinventing my wheel (with all the potential for close-but-not-exact-match errors).  I'd also like to be able pull together not only all my resources with those tags, but also all the notes I've made with those tags.

Does that make sense?

Ok I see where you are going now.  To my knowledge, someone correct me if I am wrong, tags in resources can't be searched outside of the library pane. So two things would need to happen. 1. Link the two databases together. 2. Allow for both to be searched in the search panel.

I do see benefit to that sort of system, but I don't think that we will see it anytime soon as there are things that are of much higher priority for the Faithlife Developers right now. 

But I think I have a clearer picture of your suggestion and I like it!

The drop-down in the search panel, if you scroll down, down, down, has a section for "Tags and Ratings", where all your tags are listed.  The same appears in the "Settings" drop-down for Guide sections that use Collections.  Morris Proctor calls the tags "automatic collections" because of this feature.  Of course, you can also use "mytag:" values in the definition of a more complex collection.
