If I click on the "New Tab" (+) then I am presented with what appears to be a random collection of documents and resources. I there a logic that I am missing? They don't seem to be ordered alphabetically or by type or by recently accessed.
I think I read somewhere that there is, but I don't remember where I saw that or what the logic was.
I've been wondering this also. It seems like it should open up to most used resources or to a search in the library to open a resource.
does this help https://community.logos.com/forums/t/106351.aspx
Thanks MJ. What you describe as "a mixture of resources and tools that have been recently used appear on the left" is so random that I find myself only using the right side that groups by type and alphabetizes
It's a list of items from your history ordered by how often it shows up in your history.
That's SUPER helpful to know it is frequency, not most recent. THANKS Andrew!
I suspect it is more complex than that as frequency alone does not explain what actually appears for me. Is there, perhaps, a time frame on the history?
If I remember correctly, local history data older than a certain age is purged. It should match up with what shows in the History tool though.
Ah, what I was remembering faintly was not Bradley in the forums, it was Morris in his training manuals:
[quote]To the right of the tab on an open panel is a New Tab plus sign. When clicked a variety of items appear, any one of which can be opened in a New Tab simply by clicking it. Please observe these explanations after clicking the plus sign:
■ All New Tabs provide a prioritized list of frequently used resources / documents. (A) ■ Opening New Tab from a resource shows a list of Parallel Resources or those with similar references. ■ Opening New Tab from a non-resource provides shortcuts to Documents / Tools / Guides, or similar elements (History, Cited By, etc.)
Morris Proctor, Logos 6: Training Manual, vol. 1 (Murfreesboro, TN: MP Seminars, 2015), 183.
[quote]After clicking the new tab plus sign (+) a list of Parallel Resources not only appears on the right, but a variety of icons displays on the left. These icons represent a combination of recent history and related features.
Morris Proctor Seminars, Logos Bible Software Training Manual, vol. 1 (Murfreesboro, TN: MP Seminars, 2018), 221.
What would make this feature much more useful to me would be the ability to filter the resources that are presented to my weary eyes by TYPE. perhaps with a drop-down list of major types (Bibles, Commentaries, Bible Dictionaries, etc.).
Where is the strongs numbers for the kjv ? I cant find the strongs .
I cant find the strongs .
Try "right-clicking" on a word.
The "context menu"[?] that appears should have a line in it with that number.
[Having read one of your earlier threads-that you are running Basic] I am hoping that this is not a feature that must be paid for
There are levels of access in Logos that are only seen/available depending on if you have paid for certain "features."
All the best
One way to do so (even in a free Logos Basic installation) is turning on the Inline Reverse Interlinear - this could look e.g. like this:
Make sure the Strong's Numbers are selected from the interlinear - this view maybe resembles what you are used from other bible software or internet sources.
(sorry for the German language UI)
