What is the Bible? by Rob Bell is an engaging work on the wonder of the literary ages we fondly call the Holy Bible. This would be a great gift for skeptics, pastors, and lay believers (just about anyone with an opinion on the Bible). It deals with questions of meaning like what was the significance of Jesus writing on the ground, the significance of the covenant God made with Abraham and the not so obvious connection between the separation of Abraham from Lot and the story of Ruth and her redemption by Boaz. Faithlife Ebooks has other Rob Bell titles but not this New York Times bestseller. I recommend it be added.
