Some of my personal books I'm unable to delete. the option is grayed out. I tried the workaround of deleting it from the data folder and then starting up Logos. But that doesn't work.

Hi Chris, personal books cannot be deleted once you have uploaded them.  However you are free to hide them

Or, as I understand it, overwrite them with a recompiled version of plain paper.

I overwrite them.  I Change the name to DUMMYxxx and use the docx file of DUMMY.docx but after posting this a few times have not had a response from Faithlife on what that does to the Metadata for the file.   [Where xxx is some number and DUMMY.docx is a file with just the words 'not a valid book at this time' ]  Then when I create a new PBB I overwrite a DUMMYxxx with a new real PBB resource with the change of name and docx file as needed.

A phone call to Customer Services might clear the matter up for you.

Sent an email on overwriting a PBB with DUMMY data and name and reusing it later and asked what that did to Megadata

    Hello David,

Thank you for contacting us! This is a very good question, and one we do not have an answer for. This sort of process is not supported by us, as it is not the intended use for the PBB tool, so we do not have an answer for what this process would do to the Metadata of the involved files. We apologize for the inconvenience. Please let us know if you have any further questions!""

Every time you compile a PBB, the metadata on the server is updated for that book to match the values you specify in the PBB tool for that book.

Do that answer your question? If not, you'll need to be more specific about what you are asking.

OK, so from what you said it is OK to overwrite a PBB with another one so if we can not delete them we can just overwrite them with the next one we make. Thanks for the input.
