Cannot Rename Notebook
I have several notebooks. Some I have are my own, and some I "added to my docs" notebooks from public resources.
In my Tools > Notes > Notebooks menu, "Share" and "Rename" are greyed out. I only have the delete option. I noticed only the ones that originated from public sources are greyed out.

If I am understanding what your scenario is correctly it is because you are not the content creator. You can only edit your own content.

I see what you mean...
So then how do I make a duplicate of that content so that I can edit the duplicate copy of as my own? I know its possible through the website, perhaps Logos 8 does not allow this?

You have to go to https://documents.logos.com/ Find the shared notebook you want to change the name of, then select duplicate to make a private copy. Once synced, you will be able to rename the Notebook. There is no option to do that wiithin L8 at this time
