Bug: Homepage/Atlas with Mac and eGPU
I have a MacBook Pro hooked up to an eGPU. Whenever I disconnect the eGPU and then reconnect, the Home page (and Atlas) appears blank. The links are still there but the page is invisible. I have to quit and restart Logos to get the tiles (and Atlas) to appear again. On a side note, it appears that Logos does not take advantage of the eGPU. Atlas and the home page are choppy when scrolling and connected to a 5K monitor. Thanks!

Any thoughts on this?

It appears that notes is also affected in the same manner. Logos definitely has problems with eGPUs. I realize that most Logos users don't use an eGPU so this is low priority for Faithlife but it would still be nice to get a response.

After receiving no response from Logos, I decided to email support with my problems with my eGPU. No response, so I emailed again. No response the second time. I then decided to call. After being on hold for a very long time, I was told that Logos does not work with eGPUs and there is no plan to change that in the immediate future. Now it is one thing for Logos to not take advantage of the eGPU and it is another for it not to work when an eGPU is connected. I have many programs on my laptop and they all work fine. I have never heard of a program that would not work with an eGPU connected. This is absolutely unacceptable. I know that we hear this ad nauseam but when you spend thousands of dollars on a program you expect better support. At the end of the phone call, the rep had the audacity to try to get me to purchase more resources. You can do better Faithlife.

I can verify that on a Dell 9360 with eGPU (Nvidia base), that Logos works fine, although no faster. I haven't tried to do a default use of the Nvidia in the program setup, but was thinking of doing just that to find out if it would run, and if it was any faster. My guess is that the code is optimised to just work with default versions. I'll let you know, although I know that the Mac is a very different coding proposition.
