Could anyone show me how to change the text comparison tool so that it shows different translations? Mine is currently stuck to a few defaults.

As far as I know it is not possible to choose different translations for the text comparison tool inside the mobile app. You can however select a resource collection that you have created in the desktop software: https://wiki.logos.com/collections
In addition to collections for each language in my library I also have two collections that I use specifically for text comparison.
