Is it possible to permanently delete documents
After a few years of creating documents through trial and error, I'd like to do some spring cleaning. How can I permanently delete files that have been deleted in Logos Documents.

Simply right-click the document and select delete
If desired, you can select more than one document at a time and delete them in bulk

Thanks Fred, the "Delete" selection doesn't really delete the items, they're merely deactivate the items in the Logos Documents. I'd like to purge my Logos Documents folder of the many mistakes that were made, when I first began using Logos. Thank you.

It’s not possible to permanently delete a document. You can always undelete them at https://documents.logos.com/
This is my personal Faithlife account. On 1 March 2022, I started working for Faithlife, and have a new 'official' user account. Posts on this account shouldn't be taken as official Faithlife views!

This is not the case for Notes anymore. Within the notes tool, you can choose to permanently delete. I mention this because it is my understanding that the same trash functionality (at least the drag to trash) is eventually planned to be implemented in the Docs menu and could thus possibly change this limitation.

That would be great if it ever gets implemented.

Maybe Logos' ScrumMaster will push this requirement into the next Sprint. Thanks Mark

Any ETA on being able to permanently delete documents from my documents at https://documents.logos.com/ ?
I have several deleted items as I've been learning Logos software, and I don't want to sift through the unneeded clutter if I'm actually looking for something I really want to restore.

Bump.
My deleted folder is full of untitled documents of every type. I'd like to purge these, but don't see that option listed.
It makes me uncomfortable that I cannot remove sensitive things. I have not created many personal documents, mostly out of ignorance. As I complete more and more training, I was intending to use Logos more. Now I am not sure I still want to do that.

Kathleen,
Bumping a 2 year old post on a Logos 8 Forum will not attract much attention. I suggest you re-post in the Logos 9 forum.

Sorry, when I did it, I didn't realize it was in the Logos 8 subforum. Thanks!

I recommend restoring old documents or notebooks and giving them names that align with what you plan to create in the future. Hopefully, this proves useful. [:)]
For I am not ashamed of the gospel. For it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth, to the Jew first, and to the Greek (Romans 1:16).
